Literal wording - Instead of telling your audience what has happened, show them the small parts, use the five senses, focus on the moment, and do not worry about downloading your audience with a lot of background information. Too much of one thing - Look at where you have description, dialogue, setting, and background. Be sure you don't have huge chunks of one thing.
