Elantris awaits you!

Hark traveler!
If you're off to Elantris, then of course you know already of the Washed City. Five hundred years under the ocean, and she's back! Can you quite believe it?

The Big Four of Creative Writing

Check out the four major components of creative writing. Become familiar with them as both building blocks of your work and how it is assessed. These components will make up the rubric of creative writing finals.
The rest of your grade is a portfolio of your writing as we seek to master each component at a time by writing shorter works, engaging in discussions on readings, and creating concept descriptions with small excerpts.

Students will submit a final portfolio at the end of the course of chosen work.

R E A S S E S S M E N T

All student work in this elective is considered as a summative, and students reassess the same skills throughout the course. You will see this reflected in the gradebook as scores, updated based on the student's current mastery in that category. Professionalism and meeting deadlines is reflected as both are essential to the writing process. Discipline is a skill, and so the students will be evaluated on a rubric that reflects the components of both what is written and how it is written.
