Elementals have been around for thousands of years, but not much is known about why

these people have these powers. There are four types of elemental magic, water, Earth, air, and fire. In this book we will be focusing on fire magic.

There are a few varieties of fire magic. There are those who can create fire in their fingertips at any given time, whenever they please. There are some who can only summon their powers when they are around fire, manipulating the flames at will. Lastly, there are those who can only use their powers when they are extremely upset. 

Fire Borns

Fire Born’s are those who possess the power to create fire at any given times. Most of these people have known about their powers since birth, being able to control their magic from a young age. There are very, very few of these people that have a natural born power like this. Most of the Fire Borns are female, there is no reason for this, it just happens this way. 

Faux Borns

Faux Borns are those who can only create fire around flame. They are called this because most of them were trained to use this power. There are very few of them that are born with this type of elemental power. With this power you cannot always use it, there are limits to what they can achieve themselves. If their mood is slightly out of focus they cannot use their powers at all. They can though have random spurts of magic if they are around flames and are having a deep emotional trauma. 

Emotionals

Emotionals normally don’t know about their powers and may never know about them. They are called Emotionals because their powers come from, in most cases, extreme anger or sadness. They can only use their magic generally once, but in rare cases they can use them again. There are very few of these elementals, but it could also be that most of them don’t discover their powers until later, or never at all

Channeling Energy

To use fire magic, the elementals must channel their energy and focus on what they are trying to do. Everyone’s method is different in this, but the most effective is called Fire Dancing. The forms of dance are different, everyone has developed their own way of channeling. Fire Born’s powers can also be channeled through emotion or a memory. 

Once an elemental has channeled their energy you may see very faint glows of orange going from their feet to their hands, following their heartbeat. Their energy comes from the ground, coming from different sources of light or magic. Most of the elementals have learned to channel their energy quickly, only taking a minute or so. As for new users it may take upwards of ten minutes. 

Power extent

The power of elementals had limits. They cannot shoot fire from their hands and they are not resistance to being burnt, even though they may be able to withstand the burn more. Only there hands can be caught on fire, and normally most of their power is in their finger tips.

Most elementals cannot keep their powers active for more than half an hour. After they use their powers they may feel tired, or drowsy. And if they over do it they could faint, and even possibly fall over dead.

Fire magic is considered destructive, so most fire elementals are considered dangerous. If an elemental can control their powers, they can become a very powerful magic user.
