CJ'S RESPONSETren runs up to his horse and calms it down from its tantrum before turning to Ronin "Yeah i can ride, also I don't think we actually established names among each other." He produces a rope out of his horse's saddlebag "im Trendran by the way"
Still at the ready he turns to the companion that had helped he out "Are you able to ride?". Looking around as he asks his companion and sees that the women that was with them was not there "Hey you where is the other one we need to get out of hear?!"
But....The army, though vicious, assumes too much about their numbers. Because the mass, thousands of Resvelds by the look of it, are traveling so quickly--they assume the small party is taken care of. They ride on, toward the city's walls...But of interest, it seems their strategy is to circle around to take the city from the edge of the Mistborn Forest. It will take at least three days by that route.
With the help of one of his companions he was able to get out of his prison of sand. Before Ronin had fully pulled himself out he saw many enemies come out of the forest all around them. He looks over at his companion clenching his foot as bright red blood poles around it. With as puff of dust Ronin stands in front of his companion sword drawn ready to fight.
While Trendran is digging away at the hot sand, sending it in all directions, a volley of arrows narrowly miss him aside for one which struck in the foot.
All at once, a clatter of horses rumbling in the sand and tossing up a cloud of amber dirt that precedes them rides up and over a hill. An onslaught --an ambush. The sand trap had apparently been set, but only one party member had been unfortunately to find it. They sweep by Temple, knocking her to the ground--her body unconsciously falling to the sandy ground in a thud. They ride swiftly for the others.
With the sound of a click Ronin felt the ground under his horse give way. Before he could react to what had happened he began falling and his sight other came by flecks of dust and stone. As he sunk deeper the harder it was for him to move.
Ronin sees the vultures and he rides off slightly toward the vultures, still within eye sight of the others. He closes his eyes and focuses to try and smell the of corpses or hear the sounds of people.
Temple holds the reigns tight on Archer as they pass beyond the trees. The Meladrin and Resveld follow slightly in front of her, their horses moving at a faster pace. She see's something moving in the distance. [Basic] 4
At the gates, out beyond the few scattered trees are the rolling hills and cliffs of the Syskyou Mountains. It is clear that you must must ride out, as no armies are apparent on the landscape. A few dozen vultures soar in their dizzy circles to the east. ...And so you travel. [Investigate]
Taking a glace back at the man and gives a puzzled look. He looked at the others "Alright if you are ready to go them I am" he said grabbing a sharping stone.
Temple stood behind the two other, one another Meladrin, and one a Resveld. She took the hood of her cloak down, and tied her hair back in a tight braid. Her face noticeable gaining its color back. "Well, lets get to it then." She said, sounding confident.
A man waits for you outside the chapel. His demeanor and mannerisms mark him out as a leader, and others look to him for direction. A flurry of activity happens around you as weapons are sharpened on stone wheels, new knights are fitting on mismatched armor, and young men and women smear the blue circle onto their foreheads. "You!" He called, a strong point in your direction. The two on your right are beckoned over as well."Yeah, ye' lot look like eh sizable crew, eh!" His accent is sharp. "Ye be the first we'll send. Don' come back 'til you can tell me theh banner. Color, shape. We need to know who be comin' fer us."He blinks at you---"Well, a'right. Ye got yer mission. Go to it then!"
Trendran Frankles looks at the messenger with a scrunched face, but takes the note. Trendran holds the parchment in his hand for a long while, rereading it over and over again before dismissing the messenger,"tell word that i will be on my way". Trendran slips the note into his bag, grabs his sword and bow, and with a deep sigh makes way for the cathedral.
Temple reads the note, cocking her eyebrows. The messenger was already off, without an explanation of who the note was from. She pats the long daggers strapped to her legs, a deep sigh escapes from her throat as her face turns pale. Temple sticks the note in her pocket and breathes deeply before heading off.
A note arrives by local messenger. He is out of breath and has clearly been running. "Quick--" he says handing it forward. "Read for the sake of us all!"The note is written hastily and speaks of a force nearing the city. The Templars are being called to action by the Priest of Nira himself. He asks you meet him at the cathedral.
