Ember, without noise, crept slowly behind the suspicious man. Without a thought in mind as to what could happen next she struck the man from behind. She flipped the man from his stomach onto his back. As she stood above the man her small legs trembled. He was who had stolen her wand. She stuck a hand out and squeezed at his pulsing throat. "Where did you take my wand!" She screamed as her voice cracked with her nerves. His eyes grew large, unable to speak, he reached for his pocket. Expecting the man to bring her wand to her hands she let go of his throat, but placed a foot onto his chest to keep him down. He whipped out a dagger and went for Ember's leg. She quickly moved her leg and thrusted her small fist into his face with all her power. His face went limp and laid sideways on the ground. She reached into the pocket of his hoodie and felt her precious wand. She grabbed the wand and before anymore trouble could arise sprinted back to where she had last seen Oddir.
After the monster lost Ember, Oddir takes a deep breath, feeling the magic within him raging like a flame unbound. He reaches out, grabbing onto all flames and using his own within him to conjure a wraith of pure flame. It's flame and fury grew and spread as it began to manifest. It's cloak made of pure fire, and its bones made of embers that are black as night and crimson as red."I command thee to strike that creature with a burning flame, heed my words and go!" Oddir commanded as the wraith turned to the monster and attacked. The wraith stuck the monster with a mighty blow, hitting the beast with the strength of a dragon. But the monster stood firm and wrapped the wraith in its ensnaring chain. From which the monster crushed the wraith with a earth shaking clap. The wraith screamed and faded into embers. Oddir can feel the magical strength begin to fade within. He realizes that he can boost his magic only once more before it will burn out for a time.

Quickly after the beast went for Oddir it turned and began to run for Ember. Ember weaved through trees attempting to get the beast off of her tail. After a while of running the beast slowly trailed off and Ember found time to crawl into an empty log. Her heart raced as she felt her blood pump through her hot veins. Trying not to stir in the log and bring attention to herself, Ember sucked in the cold air through her nose for a quiter breath. The beast left to look for Oddir again, and Ember noticed a man trying to sneak away from where her and Oddir had just battled with the beast. The sight of him made her stomach turn. Her nerves began to peak, for she knew she had to see who it was. She began to follow the man.
From amidst the flame, the monster flung an iron chain, charged with arcane energy. The air sizzled and snapped as the magical chain whipped to Oddir. He ducked under chain which wrapped itself around a stone pillar. The monster tugged on the chain and the stone pillar exploded, pebbles and debris flies through the air as the chain returns the the abomination. From somewhere else, a man curses and dust and ash begins to shift as a shadow moves from behind the scenes and away from Ravencore. [NPC rolled an 8 and I rolled a 10. Both are basic.]
Ember looked at the light than looked back at Oddir. She knew Oddir would need help with this vicious beast. It seemed numb by the pain Oddir was putting upon it so in an instant Ember decided to go to him. She slowly began to sneak over to the beast trying to approach it from behind.Ember climbed onto the back of the beast attempting to scratch at its eyes. The beast flung Ember's little body off of it and onto the ground. She felt lifeless as she laid on the cold dirt, sucking in air to replenish her lungs.
Oddir opened his mouth to say words, but none came out. "By the gods, what happened," Oddir said as they approached the remains of Ravencore. The ground was littered with blood and ash, and the sky darkened by smoke and death. Building that have not turned to dust were burning as bright as the sun. As he began to look around, he saw the creature. It stood seven feet tall, flesh sewn and ripped all over. It breaths ragged and dry, but yet it live. It's eyes lifeless but yet it moves. "By Nira's Light and Morvar's Strike, I shall put you down!" Oddir cried as he swirled his staff, summoning the surrounding flame to him. The flame crackled and swirled like a maelstrom, then all at once, Oddir hurled it towards the fiend. The fire strikes the monster, it turns to Oddir and roars viciously at him, flesh burning to a crisp but showing no pain. [Elemental - 2] [I rolled a 9 + 2 and NPC rolled a 10] [NPC - 1HP]
Ember took his hand with great confidence. As they began their trip she thought to herself about what was to come next. Wind blew through her hair as chills were sent down her neck. Though she had accepted Oddir's offer she was hesitant as to where this trip would take her. She still needed to retrieve her wand and the thought of going off her original plan made her palms sweaty."What brings you to Elantris," Ember said kindly, trying to spark up conversation so her hesitance wouldn't flood her brain.
"I like the spirit!" Oddir proclaimed. He noticed the fire burning in Ember eyes, the eyes of a thrill seeker. He rips the piece of paper off, showing the face of a abomination that is supposedly responsible for the destruction of the village of Ravencore. "This is the thing that I am hunting, rumor says that this monster is connected to Dr. Dregamor, an outcast of the Keeper Academy for supposedly associating with things of...dark nature. One day he just disappeared but some claim that this monster will be the instrument of his revenge, so it is up to us to destroy it and uncover the truth of the creature's creation." Oddir sticks his arm out, hand open and asks "Are you in, Ember?"
"No problem," she responded to Oddir. She followed close and began to examine the man, he was tall with slight shaggy hair. Ember didn't mind helping Oddir, his calmness brought an odd sense of trust into him.
Focused on what to buy, Oddir barely noticed the small girl standing next to him. After the girl, who's named he learned as "Ember" introduced herself, he responded with "Oh, hello there, the name's Oddir Magnusson. Would you care to help me with something? There's glory and wealth for those who help."
Ember approached the man standing in the stall near her. She looked around at the walls, noticing they were occupied by some sort of ingredients. "Hello, my name is Ember," she said softly.
The sky was blue as the swallowing seas, the center of Elantris was bursting with people from all over. Oddir approached a nearby stall, filled with various ingredients for enchantment.
