Look- At first glance, she is shy, quiet, timid, but after one conversation, people tend to get a sense that she has a slight edge that is intimidating. Pastel purple hair, fair skin with freckles across her cheeks, short but tries not to be.

Basil has long wavy hair, enchanted a light purple. Her eyes glow a bright green. She has a short physique but stands proud to look taller. The mark of magic is proudly displayed on Basil’s right shoulder as she always wears a tank top to show it off. She is always sporting some dramatic winged eyeliner and a darker brown lipstick on her freckled face.

At first people see her small build and soft pastel hair and immediately assume she’s gentle and kind, but, she sees everything wrong in life and must point it out. She has a hard exterior to keep herself from getting hurt by the people she secretly cares about (like Chim Chim, her personal guard). She is witty and sarcastic and often is the first to make a joke out of a serious situation.

Basil just wants to travel to a new place, earn a new wand, and help her pal Chim Chim get his memory back. Most people get scared and worried as the water begins to overtake their city, but Basil sees it as an opportunity to travel and learn the ways of a new land. She has waited her whole life to be pushed out of her home by the sea, and when the disaster finally struck her family’s home, she ran as far and as fast as she could without looking back. During the chaos, though, her wand snapped in her bag so now her magic skills are basically useless until she can get a new one. With no combat or weapon skills, Basil relies on her, good looks, speech, and magic when faced with difficult situations. Even though she lost her wand, she gained a friend. She met Chimodo on her travels to find the perfect new village and she immediately took a liking to him. She promised to help him regain his memory if he promised to protect her in her adventure to find a new home. The pair are now headed to Elantris to find a legendary witch who is known to have a potion to restore memory.
